As affluent downsizers increasingly focus on the Lower North Shore for high-end apartments, Podia has introduced a collection of luxury apartments in Neutral Bay.

Wirra, a boutique project comprising 20 residences with expansive harbour and city skyline views from its Ben Boyd Road position, represents the latest prestigious offering from Podia and Centennial, renowned for their contributions to some of Australia’s most prominent developments.

During a VIP event last month, guests had the opportunity to experience the Wirra development firsthand in a display suite now open on Belmont Rd. Atlas Director Michael Coombs said that with only 20 apartments available, it's a matter of first come, first served.

Designed by a collaboration between architectural firm MHNDU and interior designer Richards Stanisich, Wirra's design and orientation are inspired by the curves of the bay and the views of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

“We looked to the curves of the bay, Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, creating architecture that gestures, pivots and speaks to the views”,
Brian Meyerson, MHNDU.

The facade showcases a thoughtful blend of materials, including robust stones juxtaposed against textured glass accents and light-reflecting travertine floors.

Wirra seamlessly integrates exterior, interior, and landscape, offering meticulously designed three-bedroom apartments with house-like proportions.

The calming influence of nature seen from Wirra’s outlook is the inspiration for Richards Stanisich’s evocative interiors.

“We sought to create a calm sanctuary where the play of light, reflection, and texture sits naturally alongside Wirra’s phenomenal harbour and cityscapes,”
Jonathan Richards, Richards Stanisich.

From garden apartments to penthouses, each residence is designed for a free-flowing and magnificently appointed experience.

Designed for entertaining, apartments will feature a grand dining room with a custom-crafted stone-glass bar and travertine double-sided fireplaces. Expansive living and dining areas seamlessly connect to the outdoors through floor-to-ceiling windows and oversized wrap-around balconies.

A clever bookcase serves as a stylish room partition, allowing light and views through, providing residents the flexibility to expand their space as needed.

Finely crafted kitchens with centre-piece sculptural slab stone benchtops, along with V-Zug cooktops, Sub-Zero fridges and Zip taps provide a space to create and connect. Bespoke textured glass and timber cabinets provide both functional storage and exquisite craftsmanship.

The master bedroom features an upholstered leather bedhead with integrated joinery, while Quartzite vanities in Wirra’s bathrooms add a distinctive design touch.

All Wirra apartments come with secure parking and storage, with private lift access to all levels.

Wirra is situated in one of Sydney’s most sought-after postcodes, with Neutral Bay offering a village lifestyle with al fresco dining, premium retail on Military Road, Kirribilli markets, and scenic walks along the harbour’s foreshore.

The development is slated for completion by Ultra Building Co in December 2025.
