Apartment giant Meriton has recently launched the initial phase of Cielo, their new Epping apartment development.

It comes nearly two years after Harry Triguboff's Meriton submitted plans for Cielo at 37-41 Oxford Street, having acquired the Cambridge Office Park from the Goodman Group.

The Goodman Group had had architecture firm Candelapas put together plans to redevelop the vast 4,970 sqm site, which also homes a tennis court, however Meriton called on Nicholas Bandounas, principal of urban design at Scott Carver who is also designing part of the Australian War Memorial, put together plans for a 30-level mixed-use tower with a six-level basement.

The biggest amendment to the DA was to include a childcare centre on the lower levels. That will sit alongside two retail shops and a versatile community room - managed by a dedicated building manager.

Cielo will become Epping's tallest tower when completed in late 2025. The 29-level tower with views to the Sydney CBD, Macquarie Park, and the surrounding National Parks, will home 215 one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

An impressive double-height lobby heralds a grand arrival for residents. All apartments have square functional layouts, with most enjoying corner positions and only one common wall for optimal views, light, and privacy.

Every living space features floor-to-ceiling windows to provide a constant connection to the outside surroundings and superior thermal and sound protection in combination with reverse-cycle air conditioning.

The kitchens are fitted with premium BOSCH appliances, sustainable LED downlights, and water-saving fixtures.

Lift access will take residents to secure underground parking and separate lock-up storage, a rare commodity in the Sydney apartment market.

All car spaces are designed and provisioned to be fitted with an EV charger at an affordable cost.

Residents will have access to extensive amenity in the form of an outdoor pool, set amid landscaped gardens on the ground floor. On this level there's also a spa, barbecue pavilion, kids playground, indoor gym and a sauna. Residents can also take in the sweeping views Cielo offers from the level 26 rooftop garden.

Cielo is just a four-minute walk to the Epping Metro Station, providing direct routes to Macquarie University in four minutes, Chatswood in 13 minutes, and regular services to the Sydney CBD every 15 minutes.

Meriton offers homebuyers the option of property financing with a three-year fixed interest rate at 4.5%*(TAP), covering up to 90% of the purchase price without the need for valuation. Loans are pre-approved, ensuring homebuyers secure financing upon completion.

Cielo is expected to be completed in late 2025.

Cielo represents a return to Epping for Meriton. Eight years ago they completed Epping Park, their largest northern district project with 800 apartments across the 17 building precinct.
