Kala Jordan Springs apartments approach completion

Kala Jordan Springs, the newest apartment development in Jordan Springs in Sydney's growing western corridor, is soon to complete.

Kala is being developed and built by iCIRT-rated construction company Coplex. The $65 million development, beside a lake and the Wianamatta Regional National Park, comprises 84 one, two and three-bedroom apartments across two four-level buildings.

A quarter of Kala has been designed to the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) design standard, addressing a critical shortage of such housing in Sydney.

NDIS data shows that more than 36 per cent of NDIS participants in NSW who have or are currently eligible for SDA funding still need to start using the funds, which points to a statewide shortfall for this type of accommodation.

“At Coplex, we believe in helping all within the community to live well," says Rami Ibrahim, Director of Coplex.

“Unfortunately, it is rare to see developers including this type of specialist accommodation in their plans when building new facilities. The costs to refurbish or add customisations afterwards can be astronomical, which can limit the number of specialist disability accommodations available.”

“Kala is a lakeside luxury development, and despite including customisations to meet the needs of NDIS participants, we have maintained that sense of luxury throughout, delivering all the convenience and high quality of our internal finishes.”

Kala Jordan Springs is part of the wider Jordan Springs community that is being developed by Lendlease.

Once complete, it will be home to 13,000 residents. This vibrant community offers a range of amenities, including parks and open spaces centred around a 3-hectare lake. With a strong focus on sustainability, the development incorporates native Australian plants and is conveniently located near Penrith City Centre, Penrith train station, the M4 and Great Western Highway
