Chatswood is set to welcome one of its most high-end towers to date, with Tian An LFD Developments unveiling its new mixed-use development, Hammond Greens.

Located at 5-9 Gordon Avenue, soaring over the Chatswood Bowling Club, the $67 million Hammond Greens comprises 64 one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments across 27 levels.

Designed by the award-winning FJC Studio, the apartments in Hammond Greens will sit above 1,476 sqm of retail and commercial space, aiming to offer a diverse hybrid work environment and communal spaces to foster connection with the local and broader community.

FJC Studio, who won the design competition for the project last year, said in their Design Statement submitted to the Willoughby Council their concept is for a different type of vertical living.

"Not a conventional tower apartment tower of dark glass but a unique form of vertical living that belongs on the North Shore, draws on the vernacular and materiality of the suburban living, and attracts residents who are drawn to the great beauty of this bushland suburb close to urban and village centres.

"The new built form is defined by the integration of selected native tree and plant species at the podium level and integrated up between the narrow tower forms creates a new suburban, landscaped tower."

They said it will appeal to young professionals, couples, and empty-nesters.

Residents will have access to an oasis pool deck, outdoor gym, yoga room, golf simulator, and expansive floating gardens by Sturt Noble overlooking unobstructed Chatswood streetscape and skyline views.

Tian An LFD is one of Australia’s oldest listed property developers, then known as Port Bouvard. Tian An Australia has grown to become one of the country’s most successful operators with a strong track record of quality residential development in key markets on the west and east coasts. It is back by Hong Kong-listed shareholder Tian An China Investments Company, which has delivered more than 1.7 million sqm of commercial and residential property in China since 2013.

CBRE is marketing Hammond Greens.

Hammond Greens is the second development by Tian An LFD on Gordon Avenue. They also have the 110-apartment tower Hammond Place on an amalgamated site across 10 Gordon Avenue and 15-19 Nelson Street. That will bring a further 2,606 sqm of retail and commercial space.

Billbergia has also focused on the hybrid work environment at their new tower in Chatswood. They've recently submitted plans for two 27-level towers with 251 apartments, above a commercial podium with retail spaces, commercial showrooms, and flexible SOHO style live/work offerings.
