Construction commences at Top Spring's Ode Double Bay apartment development
Top Spring Australia have officially kicked off construction at their record-breaking Ode Double Bay apartment development, with shovels hitting soil this week at the Cross Street site.
The six-storey Luigi Rosselli-designed building has already achieved more than $100 million in residential sales, eclipsing previous pricing records in the inner-east suburb. The penthouses sold for $24.95 million and $21.49 million, and a sub penthouse fetched $17.49 million.
Ceerose has been appointed to build the $250 million development opposite the popular Indigo café, which will move into 300 sqm of Ode's retail space, along with local restaurant Carte. Ceerose have handled the build of Top Spring's Munroe House in Elizabeth Bay, which is approaching completion.
Top Spring Australia Managing Director Sydney Ma says Ode is a part of the decade-long renaissance of Double Bay, which has been led by the return of high- end retailers and world-class restaurants.
“The building’s sculptural design brings to life the symbiotic relationship between architecture and art and features an active ground plane that will welcome two iconic Double Bay restaurants.”
Ode has proven popular with local downsizers who are keen to remain in the area with its elegant harbourside water views and village lifestyle.
The ultra-luxury building comprises 15 three and four-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 219 sqm to 311 sqm. The ground floor plaza features a selection of high-end retail space and a private arched lobby with a full-time concierge.
Top Spring Australia Development Director Jeff Curnow says Ode presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to enjoy a truly remarkable eastern suburbs lifestyle, combining modern European architecture with refined, ultra-luxury interiors.
Scheduled for completion in Q3 2025, Ode's remaining three-bedroom apartments start from $9.695 million, while the four-bedroom residences start from $11.995 million.
Top Spring Australia has also commenced construction at its $500 million master planned community, The Newlands, in St Leonards at Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
