Nova FM’s Michael “Wippa” Wipfli and wife Lisa have bought in Rose Bay, quietly securing a six-bedroom Mediterranean-style 1940s villa that was listed on the market for the first time in two decades.

The three-level home with a grand circular staircase and verandas on each level was bought in late April with initially suggestions it cost around $6.5 million.

It has now emerged they paid $6.35 million.

With a pool and spa, the home last traded off-market in 1999 when bought by recruitment industry veteran Gerry Davis and wife Virginia, for $1,465,000.

Earlier this month the Wipflis finally sold their Queens Park workers cottage for $2.4 million to chef Nigel Ward.
