A Mooloolaba home that is believed to have been visited by legendary actor Sean Connery has been listed for sale.

The visit was during the Cilento family ownership of the home known as the Butterfly House.

The ABC suggested Diane Cilento visited the folks on one occasion with Sean Connery when they were married.

The 1950s charmer at 135 Buderim Avenue, Mooloolaba with retro fittings and stylings last traded for $476,000 in 2013. When it was first listed last year it had price hopes of $1.29 million after a full-scale renovation.

Before its 2013 sale it hadn't changed hands since 1977.

The home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. An indoor outdoor entertaining area comes with polished concrete floors and a vergola roof.

Jordan Barden at Define Property is marketing the Buderim Avenue home.
