Donnybrook's newest masterplanned community, Platform, provides a seamless blend of nature with the modern conveniences of urban living.

From cycle trails through meandering parkland, to bustling Epping and Craigieburn shopping centres, enjoy an elevated lifestyle just half an hour from Melbourne's CBD. The entire subdivision offers lush landscaping, lifestyle amenities and each home offers views of Kinglake's rolling hills stretching across the northern horizon.

We spoke to Blueways Development Director, Andrew Wyatt to learn more about Platform's beautiful and exciting selling points.

Urban: Which aspects of the Platform masterplan are you most proud of and why?

Andrew Wyatt: At Platform, the connection to the Merri Creek conservation zone creates an estate that feels both connected to urban amenity and transport, beautifully balanced by natural and extensive habitat. It is a hidden pocket with a stunning environment and is easily the most connected location in Donnybrook.

U: If a buyer was deciding between a Platform townhome and a similar residential development in the area, what do you think makes Platform unique and the favourable option?

AW: Our townhomes are architecturally designed by leading, innovative practice, DKO Architecture. They have all been designed to optimise natural light and ensure smart use of space with open and flexible floor plans. Similar townhomes we have designed and built are proving incredibly popular for people looking for flexibility – especially now many are working from home and adjusting their lifestyles.
Each townhome is located with access to conservation zone that borders Platform, as well as the estate’s parks – optimising and enhancing the sense of space beyond residents’ doorstep.
Every Platform townhome is also within easy walking distance to Donnybrook Railway Station, allowing residents to leave their car at home and enjoy easy access and connectivity to both Melbourne’s CBD and the surrounding suburbs.

U: In your opinion, what are some of the best amenities on-site or nearby?

AW: As the area around Donnybrook continues to expand and develop quickly, within Platform we have a beautifully landscaped park for people to retreat, while 40 per cent of the estate is committed to the Merri Creek conservation zone.
Beyond Platform, the Marnong Estate Winery is stunning with beautiful grounds and great views, as well as an array of restaurants with delicious food and the Growling Frog Golf Course.

U:What was the inspiration behind the design of the development?

AW: The design looks to balance connectivity and habitat, living within nature and connected with urban lifestyle.
