It looks like model Megan Gale has given up finding the perfect house for the family.

Instead, she's hinted that she will look to now build her own abode with her Richmond AFL star fiancee Shaun Hampson.

The mother of two has been flooding her Instagram with home building ideas, albeit starting mainly focused on bathrooms.

Her first snap was of a white marble bathroom overlooking rolling hills.

Gale has suggested she and Hampson could "be mad" for taking on the project.

"After several years of looking for “the perfect house” we are now considering creating it. Are we mad? Will it destroy us?," she posted.

"In any case, I’ve been collecting oodles of inspiration in case we take the plunge."

Gale said she loves a bathroom that incorporates nature in some way.

Novice decorator and model Elyse Knowles, who knows all about building a house having recently won The Block Elsternwick, warned it could be a "mission and a half with two kiddy's."

Gale is the mother to River and Rosie May Dee Hampson, who was born last September.

The Gale-Hampson family have been offloading homes over the last few years.

They now rent a cute $1400 a week cottage in Melbourne's east. The bullish $2,967,000 sale of her Melbourne home in Aberfeldie last year, north-west of the CBD, added further fuel to the fire that she and Hampson were preparing for a big buy.

At the time they listed their address as a Malvern East rental, which had been up for lease at $1,400 a week.

The three bedroom Victorian cottage sits under an 1890s slate roof. It comes with an award-winning designer garden with pool.

Gale sold her Palm Beach getaway for $3 million in 2016, having previously sold at Bondi Beach home for $1,025,000 and at a Tamarama home for $3 million in 2012.
