Former Apple executive Steve Vamos has listed his former Killara mansion.

Vamos and his late wife Karen paid $2.95 million for the home in 2003, while he was running Microsoft’s Australian business.

Vamos is a non-executive director at Telstra.

The four-bedroom manor with sandstone and double-brick facade sits in gardens designed by Peter Fudge, featured in his first book.

The gardens come with pool with Moroccan-style mosaics and a sandstone pavilion.

The interiors have curated furniture and art which was one of Karen's passion.

Karen raised a lot of funds for breast cancer research with Steve once saying her best way of coping was to help others.

Richardson & Wrench Lindfield agents Richard and Melanie Patterson have set a November 25 auction with $6 million hopes.

About 50 houses have sold in Killara this year, ranging from $1.75 million to $6.5 million.
