A beachfront house at Henley Beach has been sold for $3.45 million, which was the most expensive house in Adelaide sold over the weekend.

Located at 353 Esplanade, the 1918 bungalow was offered for the first time in 50 years.

With 855 sqm and a frontage of 18 meters, it was marketed as having the potential to build a dream home or construct two properties.

It currently has a flexible floorplan consisting of either two separate residences or one large home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas and a study with views of the coastline.

Henley Square, restaurants, bars, cafes and boutique shopping are all within easy reach of the property.

The property was offered through McCammon Real Estate agents Brett McCammon and Shannon Smoker.
