Former NRL star Ian Roberts downsizing

The nine time state of origin star, and the NRL's first openly gay player, Ian Roberts is downsizing, off to a new smaller apartment.

His two level apartment in Redfern has been listed with $1.3 million plus hopes through Belle Property Surry Hills agent Charles Touma.

Spread over two levels, the 160 sqm apartment offering cost $640,000 in 2000, and renovated in 2009.

Roberts played for South Sydney Rabbitohs, Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles and North Queensland Cowboys.

Upon retirement in 1998, Roberts began studying acting with roles including appeared as Riley, Lex Luthor's henchman in the movie, Superman Returns in 2006.
