The trans Pacific businessman David Mackay - who briefly headed the McGrath Estate Agents group - and wife Michelle are selling their Mooloolaba apartments in the Sirocco development near the Gold Coast.

The couple, who commute between the US and Australia, bought in the block in 2005.

G1 Property Mooloolaba agent Simon Guilfoyle is marketing all three apartments.

Mackay has been the chief executive of US giant Kellogg Company before retiring in 2011.

A year later he joined Woolworths as a director before departing in 2015.

In the US Mackay sits on the boards of Fortune Brands Homes & Security and coffee company Keurig Green Mountain.
