A home in Sydney's Dover Heights, sold earlier this month for $3.57 million in an auction that attracted strong competition at Cooley Auctions.

The house, at 6 Elvina Street, features five bedrooms, and two bathrooms.

It sits on a 550 square metre block, and is within walking distance to Bondi Beach.

The home previously traded in 2000, when it sold for $1.22 million.

The median house price in Dover Heights is currently $3.95 million.
