Designer Rebecca Elms and her husband David have listed their modernised Redfern home.

They’re hoping for around $2.3 million for the transformed George Street residence that they bought in 2014 for $1,345,000 when it was a traditional Victorian terrace.

They reconfigured the home, opening up the ground living spaces which now open to the courtyard with barbecue.

A third level has also been added, with the fourth bedroom.

It now has 185 square metres of internal space on its 127 square metres holding.

BresicWhitney agents William Phillips and Michael Kirk have a September 21 auction.

The suburb’s 50-plus house sales this year have ranged between $910,000 and $3.3 million.

Elms opened a home and fashion store Elms on Surry Hills’ buzzing Crown Street in July last year.

It seeks to showcase Australian brands.
