Dawson twins both had homes at Bayview in the early 1980s
The Dawson twin brothers shared the same Sydney neighbourhood in the early 1980s.
It was during the time when Lyn Dawson, the wife of the recently charged Chris Dawson, went missing in 1982.
The brothers owned in Bayview just two doors from each other on Gilwinga Drive — Chris at number 2 (pictured above) and Paul at 6 (pictured below).
The Dawsons each bought more than 4000 sqm of land on a Cambridge Credit housing subdivision to build large homes, which were completed around 1980.
Chris and Lyn paid $33,500 for their 4165 sqm parcel in 1976. Paul had paid $31,500 for 4060 sqm the same year, when with wife Marilyn they moved from the nearby Warriewood.
Both their wives were registered on the title. Chris transferred the property solely into his ownership in 1984, pursuant to court orders.
It was the same year Paul and Marilyn sold for $295,000. In 1986 Chris then sold his home for $285,000.
Paul’s former home last sold for $2.05 million in 2015, while Chris’s one-time house fetched $2.4 million just last year.
