Cricketer Shane Watson and wife Lee Furlong have indicated they will take $3.95 million for their five bedroom Caringbah South home in Sutherland Shire which went to early October auction.

Their deep waterfront home had initial $4 million plus hopes for the two level offering.

The couple bought the new Grandview Parade house with a jetty and pontoon on Burraneer Bay in 2010 for $3.9 million.

It is listed with Highland Property's David Highland and Mitchell Wynn.

The couple recently sold a Gold Coast investment property.

The Watsons' difficulty in securing a good price is similar to Michael and Kyly Clarke's situation with their Sutherland Shire offering.
