Consolidated Pastoral appoints Troy Setter as CEO
Australia’s largest privately owned beef producer, Consolidated Pastoral (CPC) has appointed its chief operating officer Troy Setter as its chief executive.
The new chief executive, who succeeds Keith Warren, is its fifth chief executive in as many years.
CPC is backed by private equity group Terra Firma, which bought out the company from James Packer in 2009 for about $450 million.
Consolidated Pastoral Company Pty Ltd had appointed Troy Setter as its chief operating officer only in March.
Troy has over 20 years of experience in agribusiness, most recently as chief operating officer at rival Australian Agricultural Company and previously at North Australian Cattle Pty Ltd, Killara Feedlot Pty Ltd, and Torrens Investments Pte.
He began his career at Twynam Agricultural Group.
Consolidated Pastoral has approximately 360,000 head of cattle across 5.6 million hectares of land.
