Businessman Andrew Abercrombie emerges as $6.9 million Noosa apartment buyer

The Melbourne-based businessman Andrew Abercrombie has emerged as the $6.9 million buyer of a Noosa apartment.

Overlooking Laguna Bay, the three bedroom apartment is one of the only whole floor apartments on the beachfront and Hastings Street.

It features its own media room and was marketed by Tom Offermann at Tom Offermann Real Estate as a lavish penthouse-style apartment, offered fully furnished.

It had been a $1,125 a night rental.

The unit in the pricey Twenty Three Hastings block on the popular tourist strip tracked sideways having last traded for $6.9 million in 2015.

The street record came in 2006 when Perth based Michael and Suzanne Hodgson paid $8.2 million for an apartment in the tightly held Noosa Court building.

Noosa is a little further to travel for Abercrombie and wife Shadda than Portsea, where they retain a clifftop holiday home.
