Australian film critic and presenter Bill "Mr Movies" Collins has listed the five bedroom home in the southern NSW town of Berry he shares with wife Joan.

The property, 11 Thomas Close, is listed with a price guide of between $1.8 million to $1.9 million.

The house, named Amberwood II, has views of the nearby mountain range.

Then in 2005, they decided to move to the lovely south coast town of Berry to be close to family.

Mr Collins told realestate.com.au the home is on a one-acre block and said they are just looking for something smaller.

“This place is a mansion,” Mr Collins said.

“Joan’s son found a place he thought we might like, so we came to see the place and all it took was 20 minutes — it was perfect”.

"The views are the standout for it, but it’s a big home that suits families or mature-age people.

“Berry is finally a country town again — no more trucks.

“It’s fantastic and now you can cross the road.

“Retail can finally breathe. but we’ve got to get some serious retail here, like Harris Farm.

“The little IGA here sells out of food here every Friday night when people come down from Sydney.

“I don’t wish to retire because my life is full and rich and very happy.

“Some people work to make money, but my work is my pleasure.

“I’m a very fortunate man … my interest in film has always been there since I was a young boy of five years old.”

The master bedroom has its own walk-through robe and ensuite while two bedrooms have their own built-ins and another two bedrooms is currently being used as an office.

The kitchen features lighting, modern appliances and has views of the garden.

There is also a second dwelling that is currently used as a home library and also has a kitchenette and bathroom as well as having space to accommodate 2/3 bedrooms.

Other feature includes a double garage with rear storage room.

The property is offered through Belle Property agent Nick Dale.
