A five-bedroom architecturally designed home on Glyndon Avenue Brighton is currently under contract, having been listed with an $8 million price guide.

It reportedly fell just below the asking price.

Designed by BG Architecture, the home features natural and reconstituted stone and rich timber finishes.

Rising above a wine cellar and basement car park, the property includes four bathrooms, a gym, a kitchen with floating joinery and a nine-metre window splashback.

The 836-square-metre land has been landscaped by Jamie Clapham and includes a pool and spa.

It is the first time the property has been listed, having been built in 2005.
