2GB Radio broadctaser Ben Fordham and his construction manager mate, Steve Fadel have listed their small-scale development in Redfern for December 2 auction.

19a Turner Street is a newly built abode developed by Steve Fadel and Fordham.

The almost identical homes at 19b sold pre-construction 18 months ago for $2.65 million, with 19a having $2.4 million price guidance through the BresicWhitney agent Charles Touma.

The three bedroom, three-bathroom property features an industrial warehouse aesthetic including a front door fashioned from a decommissioned Sydney Ferry.

Fadel and Fordham’s business relationship formed when they were next-door neighbours as Fordham had just bought from Fadel in Wells Street, Redfern.

That industrial Redfern residential terrace sold for $3.2 million recently through Cobden & Hayson when the 2GB drive time host who had paid $1.7 million in 2010 moved across the harbour with his TV presenter wife Jodie Speers with their two children, Pearl and Freddie.

Turner Street is their first joint project,  with the duo going on to acquire a former mechanics workshop in Alexandria with 17 apartments planned and a motel in Strathfield approved for 65 units.
