The former 2UE radio broadcaster Angela Catterns and her music composer partner Charlie Chan have sold their Balmain terrace pre-auction.

The Victorian-era residence, Glendarra, was scheduled to go under the hammer with expectations of $2.9 million plus.

McGrath agent Cindy Kennedy secured a strong pre-auction offer.

The terrace cost $2.2 million in 2009.

Set on White Street, it has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, plus a rooftop terrace overlooking the harbour.

She wrote a blog on Switzer entitled, How many cushions does it take to sell a house?
