Media personality Angela Catterns has listed her Balmain terrace for September 24 McGrath auction with $2.9 million plus hopes.

Glendarra, the 1897 freestanding Victorian terrace has water views from every level, positioned opposite waterfront parkland. It has an extensive rooftop terrace, set a short stroll from Darling Street.

Catterns, who appears regularly on Channel 10 morning panel show, Studio 10, has been an active member of the local community including being commodore of Balmain Sailing Club.

“Balmain and sailing is in my blood,” she once said.

Her late father Basil – a life-member of the Sydney Heritage Fleet and son of a ship's captain – was born in Balmain in 1918.

Radio 2UE dropped Catterns from its line up earlier this year. The terrace cost $2.2 million at 2009 Cobden Hayson auction with her partner, having been refurbished in 2000.

There is now a media room, plus 1000 bottle cellar with a wine fridge in the more recently renovated kitchen.
