Dover Heights The Cliff House set for suburb record

There are suburb record breaking expectations for The Cliff House, the luxury Dover Heights clifftop home.

The designer home has a guide of $11 million to $12 million, which would rival the record set two years ago when 7's Morning Show host Larry Emdur sold his nearby family home to celebrity accountant Anthony Bell for $11.5 million.

Emdur went on to downsize to a cool apartment in The Rocks, but spends most of his time at his long-time Bondi apartment.

Built by Bellevarde Constructions in 2005, The Cliff House (above and below) was designed by London-based architects Walters and Cohen in collaboration with Sydney-based architects Collins and Turner.

It features minimalist interiors and a connection with the outdoor.

The home is split into two wings connected by a gallery entry with 6.6 metre high ceiling and a glass atrium, finished with a corten steel sculpture by artist Christopher Hodges.

The open-plan upper level has living kitchen and dining area that flows to north-facing sun terraces and wet-edge pool.

There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as an internal lift.

The Wentworth Street property, towering high above the seascape and set privately at the end of a driveway on a 580 sqm parcel, has belonged to Steven Penn since 1996 when he paid $710,000.

Sydney Sotheby's agents Barry and Mark Goldman are handling the marketing.

The Cliff House joins Crest on the market, the luxury Dover Heights new build which also has suburb record breaking hopes.
