Robby Ingham lists oceanfront Gerringong property with $10 million hopes
The fashion pioneer and Ingham chicken heir Robby Ingham and wife Sarah have listed Ocean Pines, their oceanfront South Coast property.
More than $10 million is tipped for the vacant 40-hectare land parcel which last sold for a then Gerringong record $7 million in 2012.
No work has been undertaken at the cattle grazing property although lengthy legal proceedings secured its prized development approval.
Facing opposition from the council, the Land & Environment Court gave permission in late 2016 to build a luxury retreat designed by architect Nick Tobias.
They secured approvals for a 10 bedroom residence on the top of the hill on the first headland south of Gerringong township.
The 3000 sqm residence is estimated as set to cost $5 million to build.
Tobias envisaged grass on the rooftop on the doughnut shaped house.
Ray White Gerringong agent Neil Campbell is marketing the property as coming "with 360 degree views of 60km of coastline to the north and south and rural and mountain vistas."
The Inghams will retain another property on the riverfront at Gerroa as their weekender instead.
"Ocean Pines deserves to have a great home and a family who will do right by the property," he said.
