David Warner buys knockdown property in Maroubra
Australian cricket vice-captain David Warner and his wife, the iron woman, Candice have quickly commissioned architect Rolf Ockert to create their dream home following their mid-week Lurline Bay purchase.
They bought the oceanfront knock-down for just under $4 million through McGrath agent Simon Exleton which was offered with lapsed Tobias Architect plans.
David "The Kaboom Kid" Warner, in unstoppable cricket form, loves his coastal property portfolio. "You can't go wrong on bricks and mortar," he told Daily Telegraph columnist Nick Tabakoff recently.
He's not alone having outbid four contract holders to secure the 892sqm Mermaid Avenue.
The couple spent $6.25 million on their Coogee home last year.
