On today's episode, I sit down with Hayball's Sarah Buckeridge and Andrew Moulding to discuss the office's work on Frasers Property's Burwood Brickworks project in Burwood East

Frasers Property is redeveloping the 20.5ha former brickworks site into a mixed-use precinct comprising a commercial and retail shopping centre with a rooftop ‘urban farm’, a range of residential buildings including townhouses and apartments, set amongst a high quality public realm of green spaces. All development on the site is being designed to achieve a 5-star Green Star Communities certification.

Hayball is undertaking both the masterplanning and architectural design elements of four apartment buildings – the Garden Apartments - located on a 1.2ha parcel of land in the heart of the new precinct adjoining a shared urban plaza. In total, 267 apartments will be delivered across the six-storey buildings, with a café at the base of one of the apartments (Plaza Gardens) and a basement car park.
