Places Victoria appoints Peter Southwell

The former Multiplex director and Probuild state manager Peter Southwell has been appointed to the Victorian state government’s property development agency.

Places Victoria is focused on growing a new portfolio of medium to high density urban renewal projects.

He will assume the role of general manager, development and construction.

Southwell has worked in the property industry for more than three decades and is currently the technical director for project management at Davis Langdon, an AECOM company.

He has overseen construction work on projects including the $200 million seven17 Bourke Street development in Docklands and the redevelopments of Highpoint Shopping Centre and Myer Melbourne.
