Lend Lease, the global property and construction group, has a new logo with its traditional blue replaced by shades of green.

It has also updated for the internet era with the single word Lendlease.

Lendlease chief executive Steve McCann said the new logo showed the group's evolution into an integrated but flexible contemporary business.

He acknowledged that at first glance the logo had a hint of shelter.

"The new look is reflective of our exciting future as a contemporary, diverse and international business," he said.

"It is a design for our future, providing a unique identity that stretches from consumer to business, enterprise to government partnerships and local to international markets.

"Lend Lease is increasingly known for creating some of the best places around the world. Our new fluid and flexible logo puts us in an ideal position to fully maximise the benefits of our remarkable pipeline of projects."

STW's strategic brand and design agency Houston undertook the rebranding.

The new brand will be rolled out over the next two years.

"After 20 years, we bid a fond farewell to the blue umbrella and welcome the 'fold'," Mr McCann said.
