Mark Moran's Vaucluse seniors living development wins excellence awards
Seniors living and aged care architect Marchese Partners has had two projects receive awards with the Mark Moran Vaucluse development in Sydney’s east was named the winner of the Excellence in Aged Care category at the UDIA NSW Awards for Excellence and Queensland's AVEO Clayfield nominated for the 2016 Best Over 50’s housing in the Global Awards.
Both were launched in 2016.
Marchese Partners’ chairman Eugene Marchese said in Australia we are slowly seeing the rise of new seniors living and aged care developments.
“Developments like this are going to become standard practice for this demographic because for too long seniors had to put up with living in facilities that were designed in the 70s," he said.
“The retiring generation is giving the retirement living sector a shakeup.
“No longer are they interested in just putting up with the current stock, they’re demanding more.
“That’s why as designers and architects we have to provide them a product that is designed to their lifestyle, and the projects at Vaucluse and Clayfield have done exactly that.”
The Mark Moran Vaucluse development features 176 suites and 14 independent living units encircling a Village Square, integrating retail, commercial, entertainment, and community facilities.
