Highfield House, a Kempton, Tasmania home built in 1840 by a pardoned convict and ex-bricklayer from Shropshire, England, has been listed for sale.

The property, located at 86 Main Street, has been listed with $550,000 plus hopes through Kerry Shepperd and George Self at Charlotte Peterswald for Property.

Period features include original internal doors made of solid cedar. It is located 45km from Hobart.
