Ardoch Youth Foundation will receive a portion of the sale price of a ST KILDA EAST apartment block after it is auctioned today.

Selling agents Hodges St Kilda will also contribute a portion of their commission to the charity.

The apartment block at 105 Westbury Street, on a 760 square metre plot, was formerly a halfway house. There are now two period apartments on the site and a three level town house at the rear of the plot.

According to listing information, the property falls within the General Residential Zone, which allows multi-unit development, subject to council approval. It's located within walking distance of Carlisle Street and Balaclava cafes and restaurants.

Vendor Andrew Robinson, who has owned the five-apartment block for almost 25 years, will be making a donation. He is a volunteer for the Ardoch Youth Foundation and runs music classes for disadvantaged young people.

The Ardoch Youth Foundation provides education services for young people experiencing barriers to education. They support Port Phillip Bay schools including St Kilda Primary, Elwood College and Elwood Primary School.

The auction of 105 Westbury Street will take place at 1pm, 29 October.
