Liverpool to welcome first major residential tower The Point
The first major residential tower to be built in Liverpool will be known as The Point, a $49 million development
Located on Gillespie Street, The Point will feature 120 apartments over 12 floors and a supermarket on the ground floor.
The Point has been architecturally designed by DWA and features interiors by Quattro.
Sam Elbanna project manager and head of CPM Realty says the team is bringing inner city glamour to Liverpool.
“People are looking for the luxury style with a budget price.
“We are working on The Point because we want to be at the forefront of innovation and be at the forefront of the change I know is going to happen,” says Elbanna.
The Point features one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with prices from $256,000 to $375,000 and size ranges from 55 square metres to 145 square metres.
The development is expected to attract a solid mix of seasoned investors, mum and dad investors, as well as first time buyers.
The median apartment price in Liverpool is $278,500, a 37.5% change in the past five years, according to RP Data.
The median apartment rent is $325, reflecting a rental yield of 6.1%.
The Point will officially launch to the public on November 30.
Construction is scheduled to commence in February 2014 and has an expected completion date of mid-2015.
