Darwin units cheaper than Hobart: CoreLogic

Hobart ranks the cheapest place to purchase a house, according to CoreLogic’s latest report.

The property data firm says that Hobart’s median price for a house is $365,000 while a unit costs around $306,000.

However units in Darwin are cheaper with a unit averaging at $295,500.

Sydney remains the most expensive place to purchase a property with houses averaging at $950,000 and units at $740,000.

A two bedroom house at 34 Goulburn Street, Hobart (above) was sold for $350,000.

Similarly a two bedroom unit at 11/92 Barrack Street, Hobart (below) was sold for $302,500.

A one bedroom unit at 802/43B Knuckey Street, Darwin City (below) has been listed for $299,000.

Similarly a two bedroom unit at 2/15 Sergison Circuit, Rapid Creek (below) has been listed for $285,000.
