BESIX Watpac appointed as builders for New Farm development, The Oxlade

Queensland developer Seymour Group has announced the appointment of BESIX Watpac as the builders for their New Farm development, The Oxlade.

Located at 80 Oxlade Drive, the riverfront residences offer a collection of 30 residences with up to 16 metres of river frontage.

The project will mark the first development led by Brisbane businessman Kevin Seymour’s grandson, Ben Seymour.

“You’ve got young Ben here who is taking over the reins and I guess it’s the first of the whole new era of the company and development”, Kevin Seymour said.

Over 21 residences within the $100 million, six-storey development already been sold, with the construction set to commence in the coming week.

“They’re all owner-occupiers, they’re all people from Brisbane”, said Place Estate Agents’ Sarah Hackett, who is marketing the project.

Designed by bureau^proberts, the apartments afford between 210sqm and 380sqm of living space, with views of either the Brisbane skyline or the Brisbane River.

The apartments offer herringbone timber flooring, natural stone finishes and multiple living areas.

“Each residence [is] individually crafted and elegantly designed to create free flowing, light-filled spaces”, the project marketing read.

The project’s construction is expected to complete in mid-2022.
