Victoria's best new architecture will be in the spotlight next month when entries to the annual Victorian Architecture Awards are exhibited.

Across the state, 240 projects will compete for awards in eleven categories and the prestigious Victorian Architecture Medal.

In the running for a residential architecture award is Mirvac's River Homes at Yarra's Edge in Melbourne (pictured below).

The medium density multiple housing precinct in the Docklands contains 82 townhouses with three distinct house types.

In contention for an interior architecture award is the Allens Linklaters office (pictured below), designed by BVN Architecture.

The workplace occupies seven floors of 101 Collins Street in Melbourne, and focuses on simplicity and elegance.

A dramatic new staircase connecting levels 35 to 40 contributes to the workplace’s integrated environment with key placement of artwork and subtle approach to detailing and material use.
