Ballarat stars in season return of Selling Houses Australia, on the LifeStyle channel

Selling Houses Australia is back for its eighth series and starts in Ballarat.

Vendor Karen has bought an apartment off the plan in the city and wants to sell her family's old home. 

The average time on market for a house in Ballarat is 78 days, according to CoreLogic RP Data, but this one has taken longer.

Designer Shaynna Blaze and landscaper Charlie Albone will be improve the home for Andrew Winter to sell.

Selling Houses Australia on the LifeStyle channel was watched by roughly 160,000 each episode last year, the shows record. 

The first episode focuses on Ballarat before moving on to Queensland and WA.

They head to New South Wales for the fifth episode in Stroud and the sixth in Baulkham Hills.
