The early 1960's home at <a href="/news/50786-rovina-at-portsea-sells-for-10-7-million" target="_blank">3808 Point Nepean Road</a> was sold through Kay &amp; Burton Portsea.
In a distant second was <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-nsw-cammeray-121670706" target="_blank">46a Cowdroy Avenue</a> in Cammeray which sold for $6 million through Richardson &amp; Wrench. 
The property features extensive outdoor living areas with views over Willoughby Bay as well as a fully tiled glass edge pool, a gym and a cellar.

Portsea tops the 10 highest sales this week: CoreLogic RP Data

The top sale of the week was a four bedroom home in the Sydney beachside suburb of Bronte that sold for the first time in 34 years.
CoreLogic RP Data's top ten sales listing for the week ending 27 September noted the home, <a href="https://www.realestateview.com.au/Real-Estate/9-mirimar-avenue-tamarama/Property-Details-sold-residential-9317606" target="_blank">9 Mirimar Avenue, Bronte</a> is on a 474sqm block with 180 degree views and sold for $7,780,000.

Bronte $7.78 million sale tops CoreLogic RP Data top 10 list

A classic five level freestanding retail and accommodation building with frontages to both Spencer and Flinders Streets in the Melbourne CBD is on the market for sale through Clinton Baxter and Nick Peden at Savills.
The landmark CBD corner <a href="https://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-retail-vic-melbourne-501708313" target="_blank">2-8 Spencer Street</a> is heralded as one of the most recognisable corners in Melbourne.
The building is 100% leased to a range of tenants including Nomads Backpacker Hostel, the backpacker accommodation group that holds the lease until 2018.
The retail tenants include 7-Eleven.
The 1913-built Art Nouveau building, previously known as the Sir Charles Hotham Hotel and the Hotham Private Hotel, last sold for $10.75 million in 2012. 
Property Observer understands the 2012 buyer was associated with private investor Peter Russell's Kurrawong.
The corner block has a land area of 883 square metres with a 20.9 metre frontage to Spencer Street and 40.2 metres to Flinders Street with a $951,517 per annum rental price.
When the hotel was first erected the daily press described as one of the largest in the city, close to what was the shipping trade, Spencer Street Railway Station, Harbour trust offices and Railways Offices.
It includes cellar, ground floor with large public bar, private bar, billiard room, four bar parlours and offices; three storeys and open flat on roof.

Art nouveau Spencer Street, Melbourne‏ corner offering through Savills

The week's top reported sale is a Hastings Parade, North Bondi, house, according to CoreLogic RP Data.
The four-bedroom house sold on July 29 through Raine &amp; Horne Double Bay for $3.9 million. It had been on and off the market since 2009, often with $4.7 million price expectations. Earlier this year it had reduced $4 million hopes.
"It is one of the last original freestanding homes left in Blue Chip Ben Buckler," <a href="https://www.realestateview.com.au/Real-Estate/148-hastings-parade-north-bondi/Property-Details-buy-residential-8900842" target="_blank">agent David Hannagan said</a>.
"This freestanding tri-level beach house is situated in one of the most prestigious streets of North Bondi, with the beachfront practically at its doorstep."
