Nick Cole has expanded his boutique Gold Coast agency teaming up with Nicole Bricknell as the new faces of Cole Residential.
Ms Bricknell approached Cole after he opened the Isle of Capri-based agency to work together.
“I was ready for a change,” Ms Bricknell, who was previously at Amir Mian Prestige Property Agents, said.
The agency have marketed their acquisition of Bricknell in the property magazines.

Cole told the Gold Coast Bulletin they shared many contacts and had heard positive feedback about each other so working together was an obvious choice.
Cole had previously worked for his mother, Lucy for opening his Isle of Capri-based agency last September.
Since joining the family business 10 years ago, Nick quickly become one the top selling agents within the agency and across Australia. 
The independent agency joins a field of other boutique-style agencies on the coast including Genc &amp; Co, Alex Phillis Luxury Real Estate, Lambert Willcox Estate Agents and JW Prestige Agents.

Nicole Bricknell joins Cole Residential on the Gold Coast

Two-time AFL North Melbourne premiership player Anthony Stevens has joined Elders Real Estate as a rural estate agent.
He played 279 games for North Melbourne in a 16-year career that included winning premierships in 1996 and 1999. 
He has been appointed as a real estate executive for Victoria and the Riverina region.
His first two listings are in Shepparton and Nagambie.
"I'm making a long-term commitment to my new career and hope to be doing this for the next 20 years or more," he told Fairfax Media.
"I'll look to build on my relationships in the footy world and the corporate world, but I don't expect things to just fall in my lap."
Stevens grew up on his parent's dairy farm near Waaia in rural Victoria and moved to Melbourne when he was 17 to play football.
He owns a 120-hectare cattle farm with his father near Benalla where he breeds Limousin, a French breed and Angus cows.
After retiring from football, he established regional events business Stride in 2007, based in Echuca and Bendigo and more recently he returned to the Kangaroos in a business development role.

Consumer Affairs Victoria has commenced proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia against a Balwyn real estate agency for allegedly engaging in misleading and deceptive practices relating to the sale of land.
The real estate agency Fletchers (Balwyn) is alleged by Consumer Affairs Victoria to have done so during 2015.
It is alleged Fletcher &amp; Parker (Balwyn) Pty Ltd marketed properties in Melbourne’s eastern and south-eastern suburbs knowing the vendors would not sell for a price within the listed range, or that the properties were unlikely to sell for the price listed.

The alleged conduct relates to 25 residential properties in Box Hill North, Box Hill South, Forest Hill, Doncaster, Hawthorn East, Blackburn, Blackburn North, Burwood East, Surrey Hills, Windsor, Vermont, Vermont South, Mitcham, Balwyn North, Kew and Camberwell.
Consumer Affairs Victoria will allege Fletcher &amp; Parker (Balwyn) contravened:
<ul>
<li>section 18 of the Australian Consumer Law, which prohibits misleading and deceptive conduct in trade and commerce, and</li>
<li>section 30 of the Australian Consumer Law, which prohibits false and misleading representations in connection to the sale and promotion of land.</li>
</ul>
The court actions have resulted from the work of Consumer Affairs Victoria’s underquoting taskforce, Taskforce Vesta<a href="https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/housing-and-accommodation/buying-and-selling-property/our-underquoting-taskforce"></a>.

Fletchers Balwyn facing underquoting allegations in Federal Court

Melbourne estate agency director Frank Valentic has just one week more to serve his six month licence suspension for contraventions of professional conduct regulations relating to the sale of a four-unit development in Malvern.
Mr Valentic, 46, of Elwood, and his company, Advantage Property Consulting Pty Ltd (ACN: 100 010 179), were penalised a total of $7,000 at a hearing at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
The tribunal ordered the licence suspension to take effect from 1 April 2016. 
Advantage Property was ordered to begin a three-year compliance, education and training program to ensure it complies with the Estate Agents Act 1980 and the Estate Agents (Professional Conduct) Regulations 2008.
Consumer Affairs Victoria took action against Mr Valentic and Advantage Property following a complaint from a purchaser of one of the units. 
The tribunal found Mr Valentic and Advantage Property had breached their legal duties, in that:
<ul>
<li>Mr Valentic appointed Advantage Property as owners corporation manager even though he had no authority to do so</li>
<li>Advantage Property instructed purchasers to backdate legal documents</li>
<li>Advantage Property required purchasers to use a particular solicitor to undertake conveyancing work</li>
<li>Mr Valentic twice entered a unit to conduct an inspection, without the tenant’s knowledge or consent</li>
<li>Advantage Property charged two purchasers a ‘consulting fee’ of $13,750 for services that should have been better described to them</li>
<li>purchasers were assured they would have exclusive access to part of a courtyard that was actually common property. Advantage Property was not in a position to make such an assurance, as such an arrangement required agreement by the owners corporation after settlement.</li>
