Celebrity Chef Neil Perry has opened his Burger Project restaurant in Parramatta's mixed-use development V by Crown Group.
Meanwhile more than 220 new residents have moved in to the $300-million development since the first of its two towers opened last month. 
The development will also feature Parramatta’s first five-star hotel Skye Hotel Suites with 72 luxury suites scheduled to open in mid-2017.
Julian Sedgwick, Crown Group global head of sales and marketing said he was thrilled to see V by Crown Group come to life.
“The popularity of apartments at V by Crown Group both for lease and for sale demonstrates the demand for high-quality apartments with resort-style amenities and lively ground-floor café atmosphere in Parramatta,” he said.
“More than 200 people have already moved in and more than 80 per cent of apartments for sale have already sold, months before our grand-opening.
“Last week we saw a queue out the door at the opening of Neil Perry’s Burger Project, which is the first restaurant to open at V by Crown Group’s world-class architecturally-designed ground-floor plaza,." 
First homebuyer Alex Topic is relocating from Newtown to Parramatta after buying an apartment in V by Crown Group.
He said he was originally looking at older properties in the CBD, but found more value in a high-quality apartment in Parramatta.
“I’d be looking at paying the same price for an old apartment, half the size,” he said.
“I hadn’t considered Western Sydney, but when I looked the development was very conveniently located and a lot higher quality,” he said.

V by Crown Group was awarded the Five Star Award for Residential High Rise Architecture Australia at the 2016 – 2017 Asia Pacific Property Awards last year.
The development’s second tower is scheduled for completion in May. 
A selected number of apartments are available for sale ranging from one-bedroom apartments for $642,000 to three-bedroom penthouses for $2,545,000.

Parramatta's long-awaited vertical village

Neil Perry has sold his Rockpool restaurant empire to private equity-backed Urban Purveyor Group, which is heading towards a $1 billion IPO.
The deal creates a business with 47 venues, including the Burger Project and the Rockpool Bar &amp; Grill restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
The new company will be known as Rockpool Dining Group. UPG says the 15 dining brands, with some 3000 employees in four states, comes with a turnover of more than $350 million.
UPG’s Tom Pash predicted the new entity would grow from 47 venues to 80 within the next year.
The combined group now includes Rockpool Bar &amp; Grill, Saké Restaurant &amp; Bar, Spice Temple, Fratelli Fresh, The Cut Steakhouse, Rosetta, The Bavarian, Munich Brauhaus and Burger Project, which launched its seventh outlet last week.
Perry retains his flagship restaurant, 11 Bridge St (recently rebranded from Rockpool) along withand David Jones Qantas consultancy.
The price of the deal has not been disclosed, but industry sources speculate it may be worth up to $60 million. 
Perry’s backer was the US-based David Doyle, who helped finance Rockpool Bar &amp; Grill when it first launched a decade ago.
The funding of the deal is through Quadrant Private Equity.

Restaurateur Neil Perry has announced that the V by Crown Group tower at Parramatta, will be the location for his next Burger Project. 
Burger Project Parramatta is set to open in early 2017 seating for 100 guests.
Crown Group National development director Pierre Abrahamse said that securing Burger Project was ‘a great coup’ for Parramatta.
"Neil has established an enviable reputation for his burgers and many people have been waiting for him to bring Burger Project to Western Sydney,” he said. 
 
Neil Perry says Parramatta has such a diverse and emerging food and cultural scene.
"We cannot wait to add Burger Project to the mix,” he said.
The 29-storey V by Crown Group will include 590 apartments and hotel suites, a swimming pool, gymnasium, library above a large retail and dining plaza and a unique archaeological display on ground level. 
The tower will also be home to Parramatta’s highest bar located on level 26 on the corner of Macquarie and Marsden streets less than 500 metres from Parramatta train station.
Residential apartments within the V by Crown Group development are now available to buy including studio, one-and-two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom penthouses priced from $486 000 to $2 295 000.
