<p><span>Both Sydney and Melbourne have had comfortable dwelling value increases over the financial year, with Sydney increasing by 16.2% and Melbourne 10.2%.</span></p>

<p><span>According to the <span>CoreLogic June RP Data Hedonic Home Value Index,</span></span><span style="line-height: 1.3em;"> every other capital city </span>grew<span style="line-height: 1.3em;"> </span>less<span style="line-height: 1.3em;"> than 5%, with dwelling values are down over the year in Darwin (-2.9%) and Perth (-0.9 %). </span></p>
<p><span style="line-height: 1.3em;">The median price for a home in Sydney is $900,000, with the Melbourne median at $615,000, based on sales during the past quarter.</span></p>
