The removalists haven't been spotted, but the former Nine CEO David Gyngell and wife, reporter Leila McKinnon are whispered to have sold their Dover Heights home.
The rumoured buyers are Adam and Alex Somerville from North Bondi. He's in the retirement village business. 
The clifftop home was built in 2014 after the block with 1940s home was bought in 1998 for $1.15 million.
The mansion, designed by David's sister Briony Fitzgerald and mother Anne, was once featured Belle.
"Every room, including the bathrooms, captures views of the ocean, coast or harbour in the distance. On a clear day you can see from Palm Beach to Wollongong," the magazine reported.
A nearby tightly held Wentworth Street, Dover Heights clifftop offering sold at recent auction for a bullish $6 million.
With private ocean views, it is a knockdown on 544 sqm that sold through Bradfield Cleary agent Georgia Cleary.
The sighting of Deborra-lee Furness at an open for inspection quickly triggered a wave of suggestions she and her showman husband Hugh Jackman could be on the lookout for a permanent Sydney abode.
But they were a no-show at the auction.
The word from the Jackman camp is that Furness was merely assisting a family friend with their Dover Heights property search.. 
Gyngell, the son of the late former Channel Nine boss, Bruce Gyngell, has links to the eastern suburbs coast going back to the late 1980s when he was selling beachwear and surfing equipment.

Former Nine CEO David Gyngell and wife, reporter Leila McKinnon, are again seeking tenants for their renovated Bondi Beach investment property.
The couple tried to flip the apartment six months after they paid $1,675,000 in April last year, but a buyer failed to emerge after its quick stylish renovation by Gyngell's interior stylist Briony Fitzgerald.
They then secured a $1,450 a week tenant. The couple are <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-apartment-nsw-bondi+beach-421552582" target="_blank">now seeking another tenancy</a> at the same rental price for the 115 sqm three bedroom apartment that sits on the top floor of a small art deco block.
The couple are based at nearby Dover Heights, and spend as much time as they can in the Byron hinterland.

Former Channel Nine boss David Gyngell and his wife, the TV presenter, Leila McKinnon have finished the renovation of their North Bondi investment apartment.
It's been undertaken with the help of Gyngell's sister, the interior stylist Briony Fitzgerald since the couple's recent $1,675,000 purchase.

They are now seeking a <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-apartment-nsw-north+bondi-421552582" target="_blank">$1,700 a week Ramsgate Avenue tenant</a> for the three bedroom art deco apartment.
Raine &amp; Horne Double Bay agent Tom Clinton is marketing the rental apartment that would reflect a healthy yield comfortably over five percent.

The suburb's median three bedroom rental sits at $1265 according to realestate.com.au.
Gyngell fought off stiff competition for the apartment, with 120 inspections in the lead up to the auction which saw 14 contracts handed out.

The buyers were attracted by its size, high ceilings, northerly aspect and the fact there are no shared walls with other apartments.
“Between 70 to 80 square metres is normal in the Bondi area, this one is 114 square metres,” Ric Serrao, the Raine &amp; Horne Double Bay selling agent said.

With Gyngell bidding in shorts and tee shirt, there were five bidders on the day, the first time the first floor apartment had traded in four generations.
The apartment had been passed down through the Goldberg family who had built the block of flats in 1938.

Gyngell and McKinnon are based at Dover Heights, which McKinnon thinks of it as "north North Bondi."
The couple, who married at Byron Bay in 2006, spend much of their time too in the Byron Bay district where they have substantial property investments.
