Drawing inspiration from the industrial fabric of the area, a striking articulated brick podium creatively re-uses materials from the former factory site.

Light and bright kitchens of refined joinery, premium SMEG appliances and natural stone benchtops connect to bathrooms, fitted with future-retro style fluted glass and bronze finishes.

The Penthouses at WOBO feature large, open layouts with natural light, complimented with rich textures, adding character to the space.

Finely crafted herringbone timber floors meet with high ceilings and custom lighting, stretching out onto large private balconies commanding some of the best skyline views north of the city.

Crowning WOBO is the expansive rooftop terrace, set high above North Melbourne, the area is complete with outdoor dining, a firepit and views to the city, Royal Park and Docklands.

A collection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments can still be snapped up in WOBO, with the one-bedders starting from $456,500, covering 57 sqm of space.

As part of The Tapestry Project, WOBO has been conceived, designed and built with sustainability at its heart.

The entire project is 100 per cent renewable powered and features leading energy efficiency initiatives.

Renewable power generation and future-focused energy management minimise the precinct&rsquo;s carbon footprint, while rainwater harvesting and high-efficiency fittings work towards a water neutral space.

Orb Property partnered with Ross Harding, who is one of Australia&rsquo;s leading innovators in urban sustainability, to deliver WOBO, with an aim to represent a new generation of smarter, greener and more practical places to live.

The Tapestry Project is set to feature rooftop solar PV power as well as a state of the art Organic Energy Plant.

Residences will include smart home technology, with automated heating and cooling, while the entire precinct will benefit from electric vehicle share cars, electric share bikes and waste-free retail and hospitality.

How WOBO, North Melbourne apartments in The Tapestry project, is breathing life into sustainable design 

The Melbourne-based Orb Property Partners has&nbsp;launched their latest project, WOBO, a collection of industrial-inspired apartments in North Melbourne.

Designed by the renowned architecture firm Fender Katsalidis and set in landscaping by&nbsp;Oculus, the warehouse-style apartments form the beginning of Orb&#39;s, The Tapestry development, which, when complete, will be a new creative precinct in the heart of North Melbourne.

&quot;Designed for the many, home to the eclectic,&quot; is Orb&#39;s approach to The Tapestry.

The Tapestry will be released over five stages, and, as well as residential apartments, will also feature a skatepark, theatre, hotel, and rooftop dining.

WOBO (West of Boundary), combines New York-style warehouse living with the unmistakably warm feeling of home, drawing on colours, textures and fabrics of a modern community.

Completion of WOBO expected mid-2024.
