Queensland locals, Niecon Developments, who&rsquo;ve played a part in reshaping the Gold Coast skyline over the past four decades, is gearing up for a new era of growth with a pipeline of projects worth almost $300 million.

The company, founded by the Nikiforides family, is behind some of the Gold Coast&rsquo;s most prominent developments, including the $850 million The Oracle and Niecon Plaza at Broadbeach.

Now led by the third generation of the Nikiforides family - William, John and James &ndash; Niecon is preparing for what the brothers say is a golden age for Australia&rsquo;s lifestyle capital as the South-East Queensland region counts down to the 2032 Olympics.

Niecon Managing Director, William Nikiforides, said the company&rsquo;s vision is aligned with the significant transformation for the Gold Coast the next decade will bring, led by the infrastructure boom planned for the Games.

&ldquo;The Gold Coast is a city that embraces change and that has been a constant for as long as we can remember,&rdquo; Nikiforides said.

Amid the current Gold Coast development boom, the group has taken a considered approach to new projects, that they believe will make a positive contribution to the city&rsquo;s urban and social fabric.

The latest is Ventura Residences at Mermaid Beach, a boutique development of 47 premium residences, including two double-storey park-facing villas.

Owner-occupiers have been the most interest on the development so far. They&#39;ve been keen on the&nbsp;exclusive residential amenity, including the recreational terrace and lounge, suspended waterfall edge pool and sun deck, alfresco dining area, Zen garden and gym.

With the project scheduled for completion in May next year, Niecon is currently preparing to announce further projects across the city.

The Nikiforides Group was founded in Canberra in 1969 by Bill Nikiforides, before expanding to Sydney and later along Australia&rsquo;s eastern seaboard.
