BEKL has collaborated with Plus Architecture to create a striking yet tranquil inner-city oasis that pays homage to the Royal Botanic Gardens of Melbourne.

Viv&eacute;re, a limited collection of 36 luxury residences, comprising one, two and three-bedroom apartments, sits atop Voco hotel and boasts uninterrupted garden views.

A celebration of life and living as the Latin name suggests, Viv&eacute;re&rsquo;s interiors reflect the abundance of life within its leafy surrounds.

It features an aesthetic based on natural materials and neutral tones to ensure the seamless flow of tranquillity throughout the sprawling residences.

It is in this way that the architecture, interior design and visualisation practice, aims to honour the Royal Botanic Garden&rsquo;s flourishing garden beds, lakes and manicured tree-lined lawns.

The overall design is imbued with a sense of artistry and uncompromising functionality, offering residents a generous balance of flexibility and refined sophistication.

Domestic warmth and professionalism, technology and tradition coincide in both kitchen and bathroom designs.

The kitchen&rsquo;s state of the art V-ZUG induction cooktop favoured over a traditional rangehood makes way for long, sleek lines and a calming, contemporary aesthetic, while the Verde Riviera Quartzite kitchen island becomes a stately presence within each bespoke kitchen.

Creating a sheltered tranquil feel, the architects aimed to create a dichotomy of strength and softness, with jade green as a pivotal point in the lush residences&rsquo; theme.

&ldquo;The expression of lightness, layered with shades of muted, earthy tones enhances its textural, grounding effect throughout [Viv&eacute;re]&rdquo;, Liew said.&nbsp;

The seamless connection between outside and inside were guiding parameters of the design process.

The architecturally-distinct project is the third in BEKL&rsquo;s rapidly growing portfolio, with a limited number of residences still available for purchase.

How BEKL and Plus Architecture paid homage to the Botanic Gardens at their South Melbourne apartment development, Vivére on Dorcas

Rarely does South Melbourne&nbsp;see such a boutique, high end residential development.

But the Melbourne property developer BEKL&#39;s latest project,&nbsp;Viv&eacute;re on Dorcas, has&nbsp;just 36 apartments in the heart of the inner urban neighbourhood.

And the residences will secure prime views in the 20-level, being located above the 171-room Voco hotel, operated by IHG which will give residents extra amenity, including concierge services and on-demand housekeeping, as well as access to the hotel&#39;s lobby-level bar and restaurant, and well-appointed hotel gym.

There will also be access to BEKL&#39;s recently launched co-working space, Curago, which will be located in the tower. Curago will also feature a photography studio and a meditation chamber.

The unique triple segment tower has been designed by Plus Architecture&nbsp;to define the three different zones of the tower.

Jessica Liew, Plus Director and architect, says the fa&ccedil;ade&rsquo;s open spaces and recesses are highly considered insertions that visually separate Voco South Melbourne and Viv&eacute;re Apartments from neighbouring buildings.

&quot;Viv&eacute;re residential apartments are housed within the top segment and look out to the bay, and the hotel rooms below look towards the gardens,&quot; Plus note.

&quot;Separation between the apartments and hotel rooms is expressed in the vertical and horizontal stacking within each segment, displaying an authentic articulation of construction methods.&quot;

There&#39;s a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, starting from $490,000 and rising to $2.35 million.

Projects by Buxton agents&nbsp;Heath Thompson and Lucia&nbsp;Guselnikov are handling the sales.

BEKL Managing Director Katherine Liu drew on her own experiences, having previously lived above a hotel, informing&nbsp;the seamless function and unique design of the residences and create a lifestyle that illuminates a new way of living.

&ldquo;I had previously lived in an apartment above the Westin and the experience was fantastic,&quot; Liu said.

&quot;I felt very safe and secure knowing there was always someone at the door or lobby to keep an eye on things.

Construction is expected to commence in Q4 2022, with completion slated for early 2025.
