Christine Holgate, the former Blackmore chief executive turned Australia Post chief, is looking to buy a Melbourne home following her new position.
She wants to be able to walk or get the tram to her new Exhibition Street offices.
Holgate is looking for a two-up, two-down terrace in East Melbourne.
She will retain her Mosman home and Pearl Beach weekender in Sydney, she told The Weekend Australian.
The Walter Barda-designed Pearl Beach home cost Holgate $5.2 million in 2015 when she bought it from Singapore-based billionaire Brett Blundy.
She sold her <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/expert-insights/buying/60234-blackmore-s-chief-finally-sells-central-coast-weekender" target="_blank">former Pearl Beach weekender</a> for $2.25 million late last year.
Her Mosman home cost $2.75 million in 2003.
Holgate is replacing former Australia Post boss Ahmed Fahour, who <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/expert-insights/buying/33495-australia-post-boss-ahmed-fahour-sells-kew-mansion" target="_blank">sold his six bedroom mansion in Kew</a> back in 2014 for just over $7 million.

Newly appointed Australia Post chief looking to buy Melbourne bolthole

Australia Post is selling off around $300 million worth of its heritage buildings to gain some financial stability.
The colonial-era GPOs are being used by chief executive Ahmed Fahour in a bid to save the postal business from financial ruin.
The company posted a $222 million loss last year.
The rescue plan to attract property investment into a fund run by Eureka Funds Management is revealed in confidential investment documents obtained by The Australian Financial Review.
Long at the heart of each capital across Australia, many of the GPO's are over 150 years old and stand as some of the country's landmark buildings, particularly Melbourne's GPO in the Bourke Street Mall and Sydney's GPO at 1 Martin Place.
Each GPO in the seven capitals are on offer, representing a 207 year old postal service which is struggling in the modern day.
Since the posted loss last year, Fahour has cut 900 workers, increased the price of ordinary stamps and introduced a two-speed mail service in an effort to stem the record losses in its mail business.
The proposed deal suggests that Australia Post would initially retain a 40 percent stake in the unlisted Australian GPO Trust, to be run by Eureka.
An incoming investor would take the remain 60 percent.
"The portfolio represents a compelling blue chip investment proposition, being well diversified by location, use and tenants," the EOI documents said, setting a May 20 deadline for bids.
The Far East Organisation and Sino Group have an 80 year tenancy at Sydney's GPO in Martin Place where there is now a Westin Hotel.
Super fund investor ISPT also has a 85 year lease at the old GPO in Melbourne which now homes Swedish fashion store H&amp;M.
The portfolio is forecast to deliver $16.5 million in net income in 2017 with an average lease expiry of 32 years.
Australia Post spokesman Mark Gardy said that the proposed sell off plans are in the early stages.
"We are in the early stages of reviewing our GPO properties to evaluate if there are opportunities to maximise return on these assets so that we can reinvest in our business to ensure our long-term sustainability," he said.
"If we decided to proceed, we would ensure the heritage significance of these properties is maintained."

Capital city GPOs set for mass sell off

Australia Post has warned recent changes to domestic postage delivery times may interrupt normal mail delivery speeds, possibly affecting the time it takes for residential tenancy notices to be delivered.
Australia Post introducing three different mail delivery speeds on January 4 - express, priority and regular, and warned documents such as notices to vacate, according to the Residential Tenancies Act, must be sent through registered post or be delivered by hand.
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal has warned landlords and managing agents in other states must check how changes will impact notification requirements.

185 Rosslyn Street West Melbourne is a prime 9,200sqm site which has been earmarked as a benchmark for development in the area, although which is currently offered for sale as a development site with the associated planning application attached. 185 Rosslyn St is a community focused campus style residential development located within West Melbourne, at the edge of Melbourne’s CBD.

Our proposal for Rosslyn St consists of several buildings designed to open up a previously closed off inner urban block, and provides a variety of public spaces in additional to retail and commercial tenancies. The urban design strategy of our development has centred on the creation of a significant public piazza along Rosslyn Street which connects through to Dudley Street via a pedestrian link.

The apartment buildings follow a site-wide courtyard typology which allows for a large central space to be developed into communal facilities for the use of all residents. The taller built form has been transferred to the south west corner where it relates to the density of the Docklands and eGate precinct, with the building mass then gradually stepping down towards the heritage building to the south east corner of the site.

The various façade treatments seek to provide articulation and screening to the project, visibly, environmentally and acoustically.

A palette of high quality materials provides varied texture and subtle distinction in the expression of the main elevations and importantly focuses on controlling solar gain to aid in the sustainability of the development as a whole.

Image © Rothelowman</figcaption></figure>Rothelowman have favoured a courtyard - an almost 'donut' shaped arrangement - in their planning for the buildings onsite, after investigating and dismissing a more linear arrangement. Not only does this increase the overall apartment yield, but also results in greater separation between building forms while, improved amenity and views to all apartments with less south facing apartments.

Additionally this allows for greater flexibility in staging, while reducing the amount of overlooking from building to building and to neighbouring properties.

The proposed development sits comfortably within its future context that is generally of a similar nature in height and scale, with the exception of <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/new-apartments/420-spencer-street-west-melbourne">420 Spencer Street</a> which at 131 metres will tower over all others in the area.

The taller massing is generally located to the south to allow for solar access to the common courtyard and a high degree of amenity to apartments. The 18-storey tower is located to the south-west to form the transition in height between West Melbourne and E-Gate.

Surrounding town planning approvals for residential development are highlighted above which includes 420 Spencer Street and the neighbouring 13 level <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/buildings/duo-apartments-423-spencer-street-west-melbourne">Duo Apartments</a> which is currently under construction.
