Water ski legend Ron Marks lists riverfront home
The Ebenezer estate overlooking the Hawkesbury River owned by Australian water ski legend Ron Marks, has hit the market.
It's been in the Marks family for over 60 years and was where Ron learned to ski as a young boy.
Set on eight hectares with its own private 450 metre sandy beach, the riverfront home was custom-built 10 years ago by Craig Young.
A 450 square metre industrial shed, ideal for watersport equipment, and a private concrete boat ramp, sit in the grounds.
Starr Partners North Richmond Robbie Dunn is marketing the five bedroom Portland Head Road home which can be bought complete with original artworks and full range of designer furniture.
He's asking $4.3 million with all the trimmings, or $3.9 million without.
Marks, an Australian and Master champion and World Slalom record holder, retired from his international career and started his own business.
The first RonMarks RM water ski was made in 1964 in a humble factory in Guildford, west of Sydney.
Now manufacturing water skis and a number of other water sport products, Marks exports the RM brand of water equipment to more than 63 countries.
The parent company Dynamic Products Corp remains headed up by Marks.
"When I started this business I began with a dream, and a passion, to design and build the calibre of products that would become recognised and appreciated as a symbol of excellence throughout the world," Marks says.
"I am indeed very proud that with the passage of time my goals have been achieved."
