A Federation style home in Wahrooga has been sold for $3.91 million, $410,000 over the reserve price.

It was sold by David Walker and Belinda Edwards of Ray White Upper North Shore.

Nestled on a 1,416sqm block, the 12 Kintore Street home comes with a substantial second level bedroom wing, granny flat and designer pool.

It comprises five bedrooms, formal lounge, open plan casual living, dining and TV area, and marble topped kitchen.

The home also features steel framed arched windows, over-height ceilings, double garage and Federation facade.

It is situated within distance to bus, rail, village and Wahroonga public school.

“The local family who purchased the property saw it as a blank canvas and an opportunity to deliver their dream home on one of Wahroonga’s best streets, ", Walker said.

"This property had 18 registered bidders and the five active parties drove the price up and up, way past reserve."

The property last sold in 2014 for $2.04 million.
