A family estate at Wahroonga has been sold for $2.6 million.

Located at 7 Wyeena Close the property was offered for the first time in 66 years.

It has a classic mid century modern design influenced by Harry Seidler.

It features a vast family room, lounge and dining around a standstone fireplace as well as an outdoor alfresco entertaining area with a garden at the rear.

There are five bedrooms, three of them having built-in wardrobes, and two bathrooms.

It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac address marketed with opportunity to subdivide.

The property was offered through McGrath agents Alex Mintorn and Domenic Maxwell.
